Library Hours

The Library is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Access to the Library

  • Students visit the library for one 40-minute class per week.  Library lessons incorporate one or more of our library & technology strands: 
    • Inquiry & Information Fluency
    • Technology
    • Digital Citizenship
    • Love of Reading
  • In addition, the library is open to students during school hours to return books, select books ,or pick up books on Hold any time his/her teacher allows.

Borrowing Policies

  • The borrowing limit for grades K and 1 is a maximum of two (2) books. Kindergarten students will start the year with borrowing one (1) book and will eventually increase to two (2) books based on teacher input.
  • The borrowing limit for grades 2 and 3 is a maximum of three (3) books.
  • Students may borrow books even if they have overdue books or forgot to return books as long as they are not over their maximum number of checkouts.
  • All books are due after one (1) week but students are welcome to return books earlier each week during scheduled library class if they choose.
  • Books may be renewed twice (2) for a total of three (3) weeks.
  • Library Overdue Notices will be sent as a friendly reminder email every Wednesday afternoon so you can help your children find and return library books. Families that do not have an email address on file will receive paper notices.
  • There are no late fees for overdue books.
  • There is a replacement fee for lost or damaged books.
